I've actually not heard much re: the licensed music in Cyberpunk 2077 though I was familiar with the in-universe band Samurai. They shred!

One franchise with famously good licensed music is Grand Theft Auto but the one that comes to mind is 95.6 Flashback FM in GTA III. The ENTIRE station is the score to the 1983 "Scarface" remake starring little indie actor Al Pacino. It's basically Giorgio Moroder: The Station.

I played GTA III before watching Scarface (1983) and I was absolutely shocked to learn I knew the entire score because of a videogame that wasn't Scarface: The World is Yours.

Also like, you know, rhythm games are cheating but I'm always pleased with the cool spread of music in Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s😆

Cyberpunk actually doesn't have typically licensed music. All the songs are created specifically for the game by many artists and their work is assigned to a in game artist, and thats the only thing I like in it, the immersion it is tailored to. About GTA series I will say that there are definitely solid radios from what I know BUT I didn't include any because I never was interested in any GTA game... So I never played any of them and I believe if I'm supposed to write about a game I should have experience with it and somewhat deeper understanding.

With rhythm games I will say that they are 💯 cheating because all of them are just the music. Yet guitar hero III rips with it's soundtrack.

ooh you should definitely check out at least GTA III. It's definitely worth your time w/ cheat codes like a respectable PS2 videogame!
